RESEARCH OUTPUTS: National rapid assessment of adolescent and youth friendly services in all nine provinces of South Africa

Abstract

This proposal has been drawn up in response to a call for proposals by the United Nations Children???s Fund (UNICEF) for a service provider to design, facilitate, organize and implement a rapid assessment of Adolescent and Youth Friendly Services in all 9 provinces of South Africa. The proposal is submitted by a multi-disciplinary team of researchers based at the Human Sciences Research Council or HSRC (www.hsrc.ac.za) and the Medical Research Council. Between them the team members have extensive research, policy and programmatic expertise in the fields of child and youth development; vulnerable children; public health; policy analysis; demography; sociology; and geographical information systems (GIS). The team members??? brief bio-sketches???highlighting their qualifications and experience to successfully undertake this project???are shown in Section 10.
