Abstract

The issue of race, and the racism is a contentious one, and is an unresolved issue in South Africa. The publication of the book provides an opportunity to engage with the broader South African community on this issue. It is envisaged that a public dialogue be held that draws together parliamentarians, academics, high profile and esteemed professionals, ministers or deputy ministers and the general public. It will also be an opportunity for the authors and volume editors of the book to engage with fellow South Africans on this pertinent issue.
