Abstract

This report offers findings from the first year of The Imprint of Education Study. Since it is the beginning of a five-year longitudinal study, it is by design preliminary and tentative. It does however, set the tone and foundation for future years inquiry. Although the study comprises five learning areas, this report focuses on the longitudinal survey and the individual in-depth interviews conducted in the first year with study participants all of whom are Mastercard Scholars Program Alumni. Furthermore, because this study has been conceived as a learning partnership, not only are the views of Partner Institutions captured in this initial report, but they have been instrumental in co-designing the study and have commented on research design and instruments throughout this first year of the study.
