Abstract
This book is a collection of papers that were presented at a workshop on 'Globalisation and the World of Work' held in Pretoria, November 2000, which was jointly organised by the HSRC, the National Research Foundation and the centre National de la Recherche Scientifique. They reveal a mixed view of the consequences of globalisation as a complex social process.-
