Lebo Ndaba is Masters research intern in the Developmental, Capable and Ethical State (DCES) research programme. He holds a BA degree in Public Governance and Law, as well as an Honours degree in Political Studies from the North West University. He is passionate about Politics and interested in African Development and transformation, with key focus on governance, migration studies, regional integration, social cohesion and conflict resolution, as well as peace and security.

Before being part of the HSRC, Lebo worked for the National Department of Tourism as an administrative assistant and later worked for a research hub, Political Economy Southern Africa (PESA), a regional analyst responsible for among others, interpreting and reviewing economic and political developments within the SADC and other African regional communities, conduct research, compile and produce editorial.

Publications: Lebo as an emerging researcher wrote and published an editorial with Political Economy of Southern (PESA), focusing on the History of Conflict and Political Instability in the Comoros and its Impact on Development and another article with the Human Science Research Council, speaking to migration issues, titled Refugees evicted from camp outside UN offices in Brooklyn: An outcry for social protection and justice. He has also presented a paper at the Academy of Science of South Africa (ASSAF) Young Scientist Conference 2019.
