HSRC Annual Report 2016/17
Staff training
An analysis of data included in theWorkplace Skills Plan (WSP) and Annual Training Report (ATR), submitted to the ETDP
SETA for the year under review, reveals the number of staff members who received short-course training in 2016/17. The
data are disaggregated by race and gender in Table 13. The table shows a fairly high degree of correlation between the
distribution of staff from different race groups and the distribution by race in the group that received training. A slightly
higher percentage of Black African male than Black African female staff members were trained (71.7% versus 55%).
