Statistical quality assurance of the 2014/15 results, in compliance with the South African Statistical Quality Assessment

Framework, was performed through the R&D Survey Clearance Committee, headed up by Statistics South Africa. Minister

Pandor reflected on the importance of the study saying in the preface of the Main Analysis Report “The 2014/15 R&D

survey shows an improving positive outlook for R&D investment in South Africa … This is the fourth consecutive year

that GERD has increased in real terms, after the contraction in 2009/10.”
