Call for Thematic Proposals – World Science Forum 2022 [Deadline February 28, 2022]

For the first time, the World Science Forum will be hosted in Africa. South Africa, the host, proposed “Science for Social Justice” as this year’s theme. The South African Department of Science and Innovation is one of the country hosts for World Science Forum 2022. Submit a thematic proposal today to be considered for this event by 28 February 2022.

When: 5-9 December 2022

At the ninth World Science Forum (WSF) in Budapest, Hungary, in 2019, more than 1100 researchers, policy and decision makers from 120 countries gathered to present and answer pressing ethical issues of scientific research.

The meeting, organised by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and World Science Forum (WSF) partner organisations, discussed the future role, funding mechanisms, the conduct and the dissemination of science in over fifty sessions presented by 150 speakers during four days.

After the Budapest Forum, WSF participants will meet again in December 2022, in Cape Town South Africa.
