HSRC manager appointed to Ministry of Tourism research policy expert forum

The Human Sciences Research Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Dimitri Tassiopoulos as a member of the Ministry of Tourism research policy expert forum. The forum serves as peer review platform which regulates the departments’ research, knowledge management, monitoring and evaluation and overall policy development projects.
Dr Tassiopoulos is a Chief Research Manager at Social Aspects of HIV/AIDS Research Alliance (SAHARA) within the HIV/AIDS, STIs and TB (HAST) research programme of the Human Sciences Research Council. His special areas of research stem into tourism, events and small business management.
The Ministry of Tourism hopes that this appointment will assist the department in producing credible information relevant to the tourism sector.
