SPEED Year 4- Supporting Policy Engagements For Evidence-based Decisions (SPEED) for Universal Health Coverage in Uganda

Abstract

EuropeAid is funding SPEED project in Uganda at part of its call for support to Public Health Institutes EuropeAid/1351/C/ACT/Multi). SPEED is the acronym for ???Supporting Policy Engagement for Evidence-based Decisions??? for Universal Health Coverage in Uganda. SPEED is a partnership of four Ugandan institutions and ITM from Belgium and HCRC from South Africa. In Uganda, the partner institutions are 1) Makerere University School of Public Health, 2) National Planning Authority, 3) Economic Policy Research Center and 4) Uganda National Health Consumers Organization. The project aim is to boost policy analysis and influence that supports universal health coverage in Uganda by way of four main activity clusters ??? 1) strengthening resources and expertise for policy analysis; 2) knowledge generation, 3) stakeholder identification and engagements; 4) support for policy developmental and 5) monitoring selected policy implementation arrangements
