Abstract

To advance policies and practices that support diverse African societies to safely and fairly (responsibly) harness the benefits of Artificial Intelligence. Objectives: 1.1 Deepen understanding of AI and its effects in Africa 1.2 Promote the development and implementation of locally appropriate evidence-led AI policies and enabling legislation 1.3 Strengthen the capacity of researchers across the continent in understanding the effects of AI and influencing responsible AI policymaking.
