Abstract

1.To conduct opportunities, risks and vulnerability assessments in selected communities. 2.To assess the impact of extreme climate change events in South Africa in selected communities 3.To examine, at all levels, governance arrangements, systems and tools, capacity building, community engagements strategies required for effective disaster preparedness and response in South Africa. 4. To explore opportunities for climate resilient development though analysis of pathways for low carbon future and resilient economies 5.To build outlook scenarios of South Africa???s just transition using a human centered model.
