Abstract

Whereas in accordance with its statutory mandate of strengthening the institutional basis of social science research and knowledge production in Africa, the research priorities included in its 2008-2011 programmatic and financial cycle, and the Council''''''''''''s Strategic Plan for the preiod 2007-2011, CODESRIA has initiated a series of Comparative Research Network(CRN) to encourage and improve comparative research in Africa around a specific them, whereas Dr. Catherine Ndinda has been designated as co-ordinator of the Comparative Research Network on the theme: \"Civil Society Activism in Accessing Health Care in South Africa\".
