WSSF - DST Contribution Funding
Abstract
The Forum will be hosted by the HSRC and CODESRIA (both members of the ISSC) in conjunction with the University of Johannesburg and the University of Fort Hare. Rhodes University has expressed an interest in also joining the consortium hosting the forum and it is likely that another local university will be join consortium.
The consortium will thus consist of a public research institution, a continental research network, and four local universities (two in the highly urbanized Gauteng province, and two in the relatively rural Eastern Cape province).
WSSF III will be held over a two-and-a-half day period in Johannesburg, South Africa at the Sandton International Convention Centre. Provisional dates from Sunday 26th to Tuesday 28th July 2015.
The overall conference theme is Transforming global relations for a just world, which ensures thematic continuity with WSSF I (?One Planet ? Worlds Apart?) and speaks to the `Knowledge Divides? highlighted in the 2nd World Social Science Report.
