Abstract

The African Science, Technology and Innovation Indicators (ASTII) Initiative is one of the AU/NEPAD Science and Technology Consolidated Plan of Action (CPA) flagship programmes focusing exclusively on improving policy conditions within African Union States through specific surveys, research and capacity building activities at the national, regional and continental levels. The overall purpose of the initiative is to facilitate evidence-led formulation, adjustment and implementation of Science, Technology and Innovation Policies based on core Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) indicators allowing monitoring global trends and conducting foresight works
