Abstract
This chapter provides an overview of how renewable energy in Mozambique is being implemented to cover the electricity shortfall, with the aim of enhancing adoption and adaptation of renewable energy as an alternative source of energy. The data and information obtained through interviews conducted with institutions involved in energy generation and distribution in the city of Maputo and communities using renewable energy in the form of solar panels in rural districts of Machubo, Marracuene, Mungazine and Matutuine.-
