Abstract
The purpose of this brief report is to communicate progress made on this project to date. The project's aims, to recap, are (1) to inform the development of the national policy on gender equality and equity in education through evidence-based findings and collaboration with relevant stakeholders and (2) to direct and advise on the implementation of a plan on gender equality and equity in education. In order to accomplish these tasks a work plan was devised, including a detailed breakdown of the time-line was. This was circulated at joint meetings between the HSRC and the DoBE and both documents appear in the Inception Report, submitted in April.-
