Abstract
This policy brief provides an analysis of the foreign policy perceptions of 3 063 South Africans who participated in the 2017 South African Social Attitudes Survey (SASAS). The survey included questions on perceptions of South Africa's influence and soft power1 as a global and African actor; perceptions of key foreign policy issues that South Africa should pursue; and the most pressing global issues in the world today for South Africans. These questions are analysed in this brief through the lens of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which set the international development agenda.-
