Abstract
East London is situated in the Eastern Capes Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality and is home to at least four higher education institutions. But is it truly a university city? The HSRC is working with the Buffalo City Metropolitan Development Agency to find ways to transform it into a space where people have a strong sense of belonging, a sense of place.-
