Abstract

Should Siraj Desai resign? This has been the subject of media interest and many conversations over the past few days. They suggested that the rape allegation and the sexual indiscretion have reduced his credibility and undermined his capacity to adjudicate on controversial moral issues. They called on his peers to urge him to quit the bench. Is this fair? Clearly these questions need to be addresses in a dispassionate manner.
