Abstract
This report provides an overview of (a) the conceptual and contextual review of the literature on HIVand AIDS-related stigma and (b) the results of a rapid assessment of the nature and extent of stigma in the Anglican Church of the Province of Southern Africa (ACSA). This research should be read as part of a broader project, builiding on a literature review conducted by Parker and Birdsall (2005) on stigma and faith-based orgnisations (FBOs) for ACSA, and followed by a qualitative research and intervention programme. The aim of the project as a whole is to help reduce HIV and AIDS-related stigma and discrimination within the Church.-
