Abstract
Heeding the call of the ANC's National Policy Conference on a national health Insurance (NHI) system for the country, the HSRC hosted a colloquium on health within a comprehensive social security system to initiate further debate and evaluate the progress made thus far. The colloquium explored a number of policy options and challenges for a national health system (NHS), financed through national health insurance.-
