Abstract
This chapter focuses on describing the various aspects of evaluation, conducted at different stages of an intervention programme's lifespan. It focuses particularly on issues of evaluation that arise in scarce-resource contexts, low and middle income countries, community-based risk/reduction interventions and health promotion. The chapter provides guidelines on how best to evaluate community-based interventions, as these tend to better represent applications of health promoting programmes in lived contexts.-
