Abstract

The aim of this study was to conduct a rapid review of the existing HIV and AIDS Wellness Workplace and Community Outreach programmes (workplace responses) among selected retailers with a view to ensuring that the sector efforts were documented, promoted, supported and were possibly improved upon. The objectives of this study were to: * Review literature on workplace responses in the retail industry, their alignment to national frameworks and existing UN support for HIV * Explore the nature of existing workplace responses currently being implemented by the selected Retailers * Describe perceived successes and good practices of workplace responses in contributing to good outcomes. *Make propositions and recommendations to guide the development of effective model to address HIV in the Retail Sector.
