Abstract
Sexual risk behaviors place either of the sexual partners involved at increased risk of some negative health outcomes such as increasing the chance of acquiring or transmitting disease especially sexually transmitted infections including human immunodeficiency virus or having an unwanted pregnancy. They include early sexual debut, unsafe sexual practices such as having unprotected (i.e., without a condom) vaginal, anal, and oral sex, having multiple sexual partners, engaging in group sex, engaging in dry sex or vaginal douching, and having sex while bleeding. There are also some culturally sanctioned sexual risk behaviors. Safer sex practices such as abstinence, sexual fidelity, and condom use offer solutions to avoid the negative health outcomes mentioned.-
