Dr Mario Andre Clayford
Mario Clayford is a Senior Researcher (PhD Intern) at the Human Sciences Research Council. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Research Psychology from the University of the Western Cape.
Before joining the HSRC in January 2013, Mario was a Senior Research Technologist at the Medical Research Council of South Africa. He has also worked as a District Survey Coordinator at Statistics South Africa and previously as a Junior Researcher at the Human Sciences Research Council. In addition to his current internship he has also completed a bachelor's degree internship at the De Novo Youth Rehabilitation Centre in 2004, and a Master's degree internship at the University of the Western Cape?s HIV/AIDS Programme in 2009.
He's research area of interest includes health intervention research, health psychology, and health policy research. His publication record spans the co-authoring of 2 journal articles and several client reports on Research and Experimental Development in South Africa.
