The Human Sciences Research Council held a webinar at the back of President Cyril Ramaphosa’s State of the Nation Address discussing policy options existing for sustainable and equitable macroeconomic reconstruction and recovery beyond COVID-19. They were zooming into this four-point plan for the economic future of South Africa. The big question is how realistic is it under the current political climate marred by corruption?
