Abstract

-To define the concept of a sustainable food value and explore ways in which food value chainscan offer important pathways in assisting Civil Society Organisations and local farmers toreduce poverty. -Identifies strategies to help local enterprises such as Civil Society Organisations to competeand to improve earning opportunities. -Identify the factors that are hindering the sustainable food value-chain progress. -Recommend on how key stakeholders such as the private sector and Government can play acrucial role in strengthening the food value chain, especially to benefit the CSOs.
