2023 Agrarian Rural Household Economy Study (ARHE) Study

Abstract

This study seeks to determine whether there have been any improvements in the lives of the underprivileged rural communities over the last ten years through comparing the results of the previous study conducted in 2011. The study further seeks to expose the economic disparities of the already disadvantaged rural communities, particularly the impact of the COVID19 catastrophe. The study will also look into the factors that have caused the living conditions of rural people, especially women to improve and to what extent has Farmers' associations in the area had access to services and assistance for better living conditions in 2011. Lastly, the study seeks to understand key institutional challenges that are still hindering marginalised rural communities to economically progressing.
