Abstract

The overarching objective of this assignment is to determine the economic impacts of the RALHB. The research team is expected to provide technical expertise in project planning and implementation, develop a Land Size and Efficiency Simulation (LASES) Model to test the socio?? economic implications of Regulation of Agricultural Land Holding Policy and Bill (RALHP) in the South African economy and project administration. Findings of the LASES model must inform the Preservation and Development of Agricultural Land Framework (PDALF). The overall scope of research to be undertaken is in three sequential (possibly overlapping) phases: Agricultural (intra-sectoral), Inter-sectoral ('across value chains') and Macro-economic
