Abstract

Conducting qualitative interviews and follow-up visits with four ward councillors in low service delivery wards of eThekwini municipality using instruments provided by the PI Recording findings from those interviews and observations in a secure, online database. Conduct closed-ended surveys of ward and PR councillors in 3 of the 8 proposed municipalities (see attachment). This will involve arranging with the political leadership of those councils to hand out a paper survey to the councillors; to collect those surveys; and to record the responses in an online database.
