RESEARCH OUTPUTS: Armed Forces Day 2020, Polokwane: a citizen-based evaluation

Abstract

The main aim of this study is to determine the impact of Armed Forces Day 2020. Armed Forces Day will be held in Limpopo on 21 February 2020 and a combination of methodologies will be used, including pre and post evaluations, to determine the impact that this event has on people attending the day as well as on the broader public. Interviews will be held at the various events to determine specific impact. Since an evaluation of Armed Forces Day was done in 2018 (Kimberley) and 2019 (Cape Town) this study will be ideal to compare impacts of Armed Forces Day events on the different host cities. Impacts and size of cities can for instance be explored.
