Abstract

The overall aim of the study is to investigate how the personal values of Soweto entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial interventions from their institutional environment shape outcomes in terms of business survival and growth. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the HSRC will be responsible for: - Administering face-to-face questionnaires to 100 business owners in Soweto, including at least 20 immigrant entrepreneurs; - Conducting focus group interviews with an independent sample comprising 20 business owners to triangulate findings from the quantitative research - To transcribe the focus group interviews
