Abstract

In 2015, the State Parties to the World Heritage Convention adopted the UNESCO Policy Document for the Integration of a Sustainable Development Perspective into the Processes of the World Heritage Convention. The document attempts to reconcile heritage conservation with development at World Heritage sites by using the sustainable development framework as described in the global 2030 Agenda.
