Abstract
The roll-out of services aimed at the prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) was one of South Africa's most dramatic success stories in the ongoing effort to eliminate HIV and AIDS. Lifesaving PMTCT prevented around 1.4 million HIV infections among children between 2010 and 2018, according to UNAIDS.-
