Abstract

Refugees and asylum seekers constitute one of the most vulnerable communities in South Africa. Despite legal protections and the efforts of pro-immigrant non-profit groups, this community is frequently exploited, marginalised and demonised in daily life. This problem seems to have worsened during the COVID-19 pandemic.Refugees and asylum seekers constitute one of the most vulnerable communities in South Africa.
