Abstract
This article is a summary of a forthcoming report on psychosocial support needs of caregivers in South Africa. We wish to thank fieldworkers who assisted with data collection in all the provinces as well as the community home-based carers who participated in the survey and focus group discussions, and all stakeholders from organizations such as the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund, Department of Social Development, South African Red Cross Society, and those who accepted to be interviewed for this study. Last, but not least, we would like to gratefully acknowledge the European Union and the Finnish Red Cross for their financial support.-
