Abstract
Improving the access of previously marginalised groups to skilled (intermediate and high-level) occupations is vital to grow the South African economy and to make strides towards a labour market characterised by less inequality. However, deepening gender, race and language inequalities persist as challenges in artisanal employment in South Africa, explain Angelique Wildschut and Tamlynne Meyer.-
