Abstract

Facilitating a consultative process to develop a new THRD strategy and implementation plan for the period 2016-2026. Specific Objectives: To review relevant literature on tourism skills development for the tourism sector from both a national and international perspective and provide best practice examples; To develop an understanding of the HRD environment within the tourism sector; To identify the specific workforce skills needs and gaps in the tourism sector; To identify new approaches of improving the skills in the sector; Review the existing THRD Strategy; Develop an operational and action plan in respect of the Revised Strategy
