Abstract

Psychological assessment tools are often used to obtain information about a learner's cognitive ability, interest, aptitude and personal characteristics. Unfortunately some of these assessment tools are sometimes biased and continued research is therefore needed to keep them up to date. The GCS is one such tool. For such a scale to be more responsibly used to measure cognitive abilities of children, it need to be standardized on a more representative sample. This project was not only meeting an actual need, but was contributing to the advancement of fair psychological assessment.
