Abstract
A HealthRise District level Technical Dialogue Meeting (TDM) was held at the Multipurpose Center in De Aar on 22 September 2015. The goal was to gather information from key stakeholders, from the province and district, as well as from the community of Pixley ka Seme. The findings from this dialogue, and that of the National TDM will be used to qualitatively augment and complement the findings of the needs assessment conducted by IHMEs local partner namely, Social Survey Africa. Data gathered will inform the design of two to three demonstration projects which will be selected through a Request for Application (RFA) process; and those organizations who bid successfully will implement the interventions. The HSRC will provide technical oversight for this process. When the demonstration projects are complete, an independent team, namely IHME and the local partner, will conduct an evaluation using indicators for success as stipulated at the outset. Findings from the projects will be shared with local and global stakeholders in order to elicit their responses and ultimately this engagement will have implications for health policy specifically relating to diabetes and CVD.-
