Abstract

The purpose of the document is to showcase the environment in which UYF is operating, looking at the needs of young people, formal and informal livelihood activities, and the capacity of youth service providers to respond to issues of education, livelihoods and employment of South African youth. The document is based on a review of research commissioned by the UYF to date as well as other significant documents on youth education, livelihoods and employment.
