Abstract

This chapter charts the progress achieved by the South Africa Qualifications Authority (SAQA) in overseeing the implementation of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF), provides a critique of NQF implementation to date and considers implementation of the NQF in the light of the HSRC Round Table thesis. Finally the chapter proposes certain NQF implementation adjustments for the future.
